ARTS COLLECTIVE. Where anything... and everything is possible... @HCC!

AC productions and projects are about supporting, nurturing and fusing collaborative relationships with all artists from students to professionals... & all in between.

A professionally run organization dedicated to the performing arts, AC is committed to offering diverse and inspiring performances and experiences to Howard County and beyond.

Established in 1994, Howard Community College's Arts Collective has become an organization celebrated for its artistic bravery and unique learning environment, proudly showcasing the work of HCC students, alumni, faculty and staff, and professional guest artists... on and off the stage.

Programming:
AC responds enthusiastically and responsibly to the emergent interest and increasing excitement within the Arts at Howard Community College via vital
and dynamic programming, bringing students, staff and the community into
the college’s performance spaces, rehearsal halls, and classrooms.

Education and Training:
AC believes in the unity of the Arts and its crucial role in education.  Dedicated
to educating the whole person, The Arts Collective fosters artistic excellence
within the areas of Theatre, Dance, Music, Design, and Technical Theatre.  The
Arts Collective is committed to offering artistic, hands-on training, on and off
the stage, to future practitioners interested in pursuing careers in the Arts
(within educational, community, and professional arenas) under the guidance
of professional leaders.

Integrity and Truth:
AC promotes artistic integrity within its programming and within its participants, seeking always to inspire, nurture, challenge, and empower artists and audiences. The Arts Collective explores truth within the arts by taking risks, asking questions
and pushing for answers within a safe and disciplined environment.

Collaboration:   
AC values the exchange of ideas within the sphere of artistic collaboration through innovation, imagination and, above all, participation.  Fusing artistic and technical knowledge, experience, talent, and vision - live - at the center of each artistic venture, elevating the total experience for all.
